Vision History
BUCoHAS, formerly known as the Clinical Officers Training Centre (COTC), is owned by the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Tanzania (ELCT) – North Eastern Diocese. The institution was established in 1951 at Iyambi in Singida Region and relocated to Bumbuli in 1952. In 1960, the College introduced the Rural Medical Aids programme, leading to the award of a Diploma in Clinical Medicine. On 4 February 2005, the College was officially registered under the NACTE Act of 1997 with Registration Number REG/HAS/073 and Accreditation Number 1997257.
